I know I don’t usually share personal posts often, but I was just looking through my wedding photos to pick out some to print and just couldn’t stop thinking about how it still makes my whole heart smile. And how I really am blessed to have such a wonderful wife, and the best group of friends and family a girl could ask for.
I still remember the day she asked me to be her wife. It was October 24, 2012 Danielle had been begging me to get some professional pictures of the two of us. Mainly because I might be pretty picky when it comes to pictures of myself, and so I agreed to let my good friend Liz take some pictures of us together at Wegerzyn Garden Park in Dayton, Ohio – and all the sudden Danielle pulled out a little ring box while we were sitting on some steps, (in some great lighting) and said “Will you marry me?”
And on July 19, 2013, I did just that. Married her!
I can’t thank my vendors enough for all their hard work! I was blown away by everyones hard work!

We used vintage mix-n-match china, silverware, books, cameras, candle holders. We used the player piano music for table runners and handmade paper flowers out of vintage sheet music.
The vintage tripod on this table centerpiece is actually from my Great Great Uncle Don.
Our little people fan club. I just love these kids. (Left to Right: Addison, Parker, Naura, Dawson, and Ava.)
Ava and Addie were in charge of handing out little paper baggies with lavender to all the guests at the ceremony. We tossed lavender because it smells pretty and is supposed to bring good luck.) Naura and Dawson were our flower girl and ring bearer. Dawson’s mom, Elaine (My bridesmaid) made the cutest little twine heart “pillow” that has doubled as a great Christmas Tree Ornament. And Naura tossed Lavender instead of petals; and a great memory I had was when she just kept tossing that lavender until the basket was completely empty — I loved it, she kept throwing and throwing it at least the first 5 minutes of the ceremony. Still makes me smile.
Danielle’s Half of the Wedding Party. (Minus her brother Jimmy {Usher}.) I don’t know what Dawson is doing but honestly I love it, we was probably wanting another sucker (hint for all those with a little one as a ring bearer, suckers are a great way to keep ’em happy.) (Left to Right.) Will, {Best Man} they met when working at The Cheesecake Factory, and then was our fearless neighbor for 2 years. Jenna, {Maid of Honor} a fellow WSU graduate in Social Work with Danielle. Morgan, {Bridesmaid} Danielle’s baby sister. And Kelley, {Matron of Honor} who she also met at The Cheesecake Factory and has become a great friend to us both.
My side of the wedding party. Left to Right. Monica, {Usher} who I met through her girlfriend Jenna (on Danielle’s Party). Elaine, {Bridesmaid} we met when I was working at elé and we just hit it off, and we all just love those beautiful children she has. Robbie, {Best Man} has been a great friend since High School at Pandora-Gilboa. Melissa C. {Matron of Honor} has been like a sister since we started hanging out, we met through having an office space together for a short time. Melissa V. {Bridesmaid} I met through Melissa C. but couldn’t believe we had all lived so long without each others friendship. Jon {Usher} has known me as long as Robbie, we went to High School together as well.
Danielle’s Favorite Aunt & Family: (Left to Right) Paige, Larry, Celeste, Ashley, and Scott.
And the missing brother from the above picture and Morgan. It is exciting for me to have two new siblings now. 🙂
Melissa V. and Parker, her little boy. One of my favorite memories from the evening of parker is when we were all cleaning up he fell asleep on our bench with his blanket and it was so sweet. He rocked it out with everyone until at least 1am.
Danielle’s Rowlison Side: (Left to Right) Matt & Ginger, Holly (who got engaged the same weekend as us, and got married the month after us, it was espically fun for me as it was the first event I got to have a place card with Mrs. Courtney Baker.) and Eleanor.
The Hill Family: Elaine, Brian, Naura, and Dawson.
Vintage cake table was also rented from Borrowed Vintage Event Rentals of Dayton. We found this great silver mix-n-match cake serving set from the sweetest couple at a flea market. They used the same set at their wedding.
Robbie was doing his speaking part, we had each part of our wedding read by family and friends. I wrote the ceremony, with a ton of grammer and spelling help from Danielle. Robbie, Ashley, Paige, Jimmy, Morgan, Melissa, and Melissa all had there parts and each did a perfect job.
Group shots of everyone that was at the wedding!
Courtney’s Aunts: Janelle, and Julie.
Courtney’s Grandparents Elaine & Tom Fair, and Uncle Tim and Karen Fair.
Courtney’s Mom & Dad, Joan and George.
Courtney’s Family: (Left to Right) Cousins Eric & Family, Taylor, and Aunt and Uncle Sue and Bob.
A great shot of the Wilson Family: (Left to Right) Eleanor, Ginger & Matt, Tyson, Anna (little one) & Sarah, Danielle’s Grandparents; Doretta & Jim Wilson, Holly, Matt & Julia Durr, Danielle’s Mom Cara (in back), and Aunt Laurie.
Our little camera crew: They were all set up at the door when we got announced into the reception.
Vintage Wine Glasses were a fun find at a local thrift store.
I feel like I just can’t get enough pictures of my wedding day. I just can’t find enough wall space for all of them yet.
