Just wanted to post a picture of Haleigh as she was so much fun to meet and even have me help when we were taking pictures of the “grown ups.” But if you met Haleigh you would know she is going on about 25. 🙂 Very sweet little girl.

Albums at C.Marie’s Photography – Dayton Wedding Photographer
So I have been thinking about putting a blog together of my albums because it is the topic of many questions. And I think that maybe some pictures would help.
Gallery Album
A Gallery Album is one of my favorite products. I do have several options for these albums such as multiple cover options and several lay outs, and even photo papers that it can be printed on.
Cover option shown in pictured album is a picture wrap cover with a black leather backing. But like mentioned above there are many options on covers.
Flush Mount albums are known for there thicker pages, which is a result of your photo pages being mounted onto mat board and then bound into a museum quality album. This album should is a 30 page album.
Gallery Flush Mount Albums lay completely flat when opened.
Due to the lay-flat pages in a flush mount album you can do cool spreads like this, that span across the entire length of the album.
The sample of this album in my office currently is of Danielle & Tyler Niekamp’s Wedding that took place in Findlay Ohio at St. Michael’s and The Centre at Bluffton in Bluffton, Ohio. We even got to go to the University of Findlay for some pictures as it is where they met.
Storybook Album
A Storybook Album is great for any occasion. From Weddings to Children and Families. It is a less expensive option than the Gallery Album but it is still an album that showcases your wedding (or other sessions.)
Cover included in this album is a fabric cover, which can be the pattern shown here or a solid color. A picture cover is an option but is an upgraded price.
In a Storybook Album, the pages do not lay flat. Which is actually how I named is, because it reminded me of a children’s storybook the way the pages were. The pages are thinner so I do not recommend letting children get ahold of this but it will still last a long time as long as you take care of it.
Just like the gallery album though there are many layouts that can be used in this album as well. It can still showcase your wedding just as it happened on your wedding day.
There are also some paper options and even an option to make it lay flat but still have the thin pages at an additional cost.
The wedding in this sample album was of Ryan & Katie Aubry which took place in Springfield Ohio. It was the first wedding I shot in Springfield actually and it was the first time I got to shoot with my friend Liz who now shoots with me pretty much all the time.
Keepsake Album
Many call my keepsake album a brag book of sorts because it is made up of your favorite 20 images that many like to give as a gift or show off to friends, co-workers, church members, family, etc. The nice part about these books are that they are a 4×6 size (or a 5×7 size) which makes them easy to carry around in your purse. They are also more fun sometimes than a parent album copy because each one you make you can make unique with whichever 20 pictures you would like.
Covers are either gray, black, or white. It is a hard cover album so it keeps your prints safe. (Sometimes Leather is an option as well.)
Keepsake Albums are thicker pages similar to the flush mount pages thickness. They are black pages so each of the pictures are framed with a thin black border.
This album is a 4×6 in size but a 5×7 size is also an option and many times the 5×7 size is more ideal for a parent, god parent, or grand parent gift.
The Wedding in this keepsake album sample was also taken in Springfield at a local bed and breakfast. It was a very romantic affair.
Some might wonder why I offer so many different album types as many studios and photographers offer just one. Well it is because I think it is very important to have an album of pictures. When you think about going to your mom’s or grandparents house to look at pictures, could you imagine having them pull out there iPad to show you, no it is a big old album with pictures that are important and timeless. As well as they are able to be passed around and handed down. No matter what technology comes out next or what kinds of things pictures can be saved to, those printed pictures can still be shared.
Let’s fast forward 20 years, do you think that us handing our children a cd or dvd or pictures is going to go over with them? They are going to look at you like you are from the stone ages. They might not even know what a cd is by then. But an album can be pulled out and shared. It is truly a family heirloom forever.

Day Two Indian Wedding – Dayton Wedding Photographer
So on day two, which was full of color and joy I again had a wonderful time. I got to meet many of the husbands and family members of many of the ladies that I got to meet on day one. It was nice to see so many happy families. The day was hosted in Springfield and the stage was decorated by Impressive Occasions. Sameera and her family did a great job with the centerpieces and the napkin rings, which they made together. I love the lanterns on the table, so many fun colors. I really have to say that I loved all the bright colors throughout the entire weekend but day two had the most vibrant colors in the decorations. I cannot express to you how much of a great time I had at this wedding. I cannot wait until the next one I get a chance to photograph.
Kim & Chris Wedding | 6.9.2012 | Findlay Wedding Photographer
A few weeks ago, I got to be the 2nd shooter for my 2nd shooter, Liz of Elizabeth Ann Photography out of Coldwater Ohio. I love working with Liz no matter if she is shooting for me or I am shooting for her. On June 9th we got to shoot Chris and Kim as they tied the knot at St. Michael’s in Findlay and celebrate at Waldo Peppers in Findlay. Flowers were created by Panache of Bluffton Ohio. I had a great time, the bride and groom are just so in love and they are beyond perfect together. I was a tearful mess half the day for them, I am such a hopeless romantic.
Day One Sameera & Syed Beautiful Indian Wedding – Dayton Wedding Photographer
Last night was just one of many days of celebration for Sameera & Syed’s Beautiful Wedding. I was invited to Sameera’s parents home last night, to capture all the ladies celebrate with Sameera. I am so excited for this evening (day two) and meeting even more of their amazing families. I had such a great time with them last night, everyone was so kind and helpful. I can’t wait to get these pictures all finished to show them all, I was just looking through the images and am excited to report that all the pictures just really seem to show how much fun everyone was having. And Sameera looked amazing! I can hardly wait until tonight. This is my first Indian Wedding and I already in love with this experience, as the colors and excitement of the wedding are unbelievably beautiful. And I even enjoyed the food, other than one visit to an Indian Resturant in Altanta, GA where I am sure I had an americanized version of Indian food, I had never really had it before. I have to report that it was very good, and I really like it.
I love how much fun everyone is having together and how much joy is in the room with Sameera & Syed’s family and friends.

Kelsey & Jeremy Engagement | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
This month I have been shooting so much in Cincinnati area which has been a blast for me. I really am loving it, there are so many cool places and I now I have tons more favorite spots along the river!! Kelsey & Jeremy’s session started at the Purple People Bridge that is closer to the color blue currently but still known as the purple people bridge and without even paying attention really we crossed the Ohio River twice walking up and down taking pictures and then we went over to the park where they share their lunch break every workday with each other at. Now that has to be the sweetest thing I ever heard. I had a great time getting to know them and meeting both their mom’s!! This is just one of those couples that you have the gut feeling that they will be together forever, I could just imagine them sitting on that bench at the park looking at the river together 60 years from now. 🙂

Tonya & Steve Married 6.5.12 | Dayton Wedding Photographer
Tonya and Steve tied the knot at The Dayton Wedding Connection, last tuesday. Did some photographs outside the Connection and I shot the entire wedding with my 28mm with the exception of about 3 pictures I did with my 50mm. I have really started to love that 28mm more than I have in the past. It was great to get to meet Tonya & Steve and I am so glad they picked me to photograph their wedding.
Kelli & Michael Engagement Sneak Peek | Cincinnati Photographer
Thursday I headed down to the Ohio River, to meet up with Kelli & Michael for there engagement session. I had a great time getting to know them and walking around the river a little. Below are just a few of the sneak peeks that will come in the next week or so.

Brian & Rebecca Wedding Sneak Peek – June 16, 2012 – Dayton Wedding Photographer
